El Croquis 151: Sou Fujimoto.

This El Croquis issue is a timely and vital monograph on the work of Sou Fujimoto, featuring photographs, models, plans and texts on 19 projects, plus an expansive interview with Ryue Nishizawa. Fujimoto established his own practice in 2000, initially pioneering his concept of ‘weak architecture’; the balancing of disparate elements to make ‘an order that incorporates uncertainty’. But there is nothing uncertain about Fujimoto’s current designs, especially with his clean, rectilinear, graceful and harmonious projects like House N or  the extraordinary Final Wooden House, as well as many others collected here.
